Forge for industrial controls

Keyword formatter with conflict detection, applied to industrial controls & automation.

Control engineers searching for specific products often use part-number queries and specification-driven terms: 'ControlLogix 5380 [processor number]', 'Studio 5000 v33 with IEC 61131-3', 'Modbus TCP gateway EtherNet/IP ISO'. These queries are extremely high intent but they create keyword conflicts that most tools miss. You might bid on phrase-match 'Modbus TCP gateway' and exact-match 'Modbus to EtherNet/IP gateway' in the same ad group, which causes the phrase match to cannibalize the exact match's traffic. Forge formats keywords into match types in bulk and flags conflicts — broad match eats phrase match eats exact match. It also detects near-duplicates with edit-distance scoring, so you catch cases like 'Allen-Bradley ControlLogix' and 'Allen Bradley ControlLogix' (missing hyphen) and 'ControlLogix Allen-Bradley' (reversed), which should be deduplicated. For controls, the near-duplicate detection is important because part numbers are often mistyped — 'CompactLogix 5370' versus 'CompactLogix 5370L02' versus 'CompactLogix L33' are all different products with similar names. Forge flags these. Bulk undo prevents the typical mistake where you format 500 keywords, realize you made a mistake, and spend an hour undoing it manually. Recommendation: before building your keyword list from Signal output or from a competitive search, run Forge to format, validate, and deduplicate. Pay special attention to ecosystem-specific keywords — 'Siemens S7-1500' and 'Rockwell CompactLogix' should never conflict in the same ad group.

About Forge

Paste a list of keywords. Forge formats them into match types, flags conflicts (broad eats phrase eats exact), and surfaces near-duplicates. Bulk undo prevents the typical "I just nuked the campaign" moment that every keyword tool refuses to protect against.

About industrial controls

Industrial controls is the most technically nuanced B2B vertical in paid media. Buyers are control engineers who think in protocols (Modbus, Profinet, EtherNet/IP) and runtime modes (real-time, hard real-time, deterministic).
